Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Wilmington, NC to provide person-centered care and skill-building support for individuals with disabilities and mental health needs. You will document in the EHR, assist with ADLs, administer medications after training, and help clients engage in community activities.

This role requires driving, maintaining safety, and upholding confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation.
• Complete background checks and health screening (TB).
• Proficiency with technology and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) based on individual needs.
• Administer prescribed medication(s) upon completion of training.
• Safely transport individuals in company vehicles for community integration.
• Complete all required documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Prepare meals and snacks as indicated by the individual or family.
• Assist individuals with goal completion as documented in the support plan.
• Engage with individuals in the day program and community.
• Uphold rights, HIPAA confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• Ensure health and safety and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and remain awake and alert during shifts.
