Job summary

The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence is seeking personnel to assist in coordinating the total day program for the people we support, stressing independence, inclusion and individualized goals driven by the person’s choices.

A person-centered philosophy will be maintained; employees support with transportation, documentation, and safety within a Day Habilitation program, following agency guidelines and required training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Experience working with people diagnosed with a developmental and/or intellectual disability preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the total day program for the people we support.
• Maintain person-centered approach emphasizing independence and inclusion.
• Complete required documentation in a timely fashion per agency guidelines.
• Support transportation needs and provide guidance to participants in community activities.
• Participate in staff meetings and adhere to program policies.
