Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Day Program Professional to support adults with developmental and mental health challenges in a structured daytime setting. You will lead engaging activities, foster independence, and promote community inclusion, while following individual service plans and ensuring safety during transportation and outings.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• GED or High School Diploma.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured activities including social, recreational, and community-based programming
• Support individuals in building independence, social skills, and daily living skills
• Implement individual service plans and support progress toward personal goals
• Ensure health, safety, and dignity of individuals during program hours, transportation, and community outings
• Provide personal care and administer medications as needed (training provided)
• Promote inclusion and positive community engagement
• Utilize crisis prevention and intervention strategies to support individuals safely
• Complete required documentation including daily logs and incident reports
• Transport individuals and supervise activities in community settings
• Prepare meals and maintain a clean, organized home environment
