Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Day Program Professional to support adults with developmental and mental health needs in a structured daytime setting. You will lead engaging activities, promote independence, and help participants reach personal goals with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include facilitating social and recreational activities, ensuring safety during outings, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license.
GED or High School Diploma.
Compassionate, dependable, and team- oriented.
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Lead structured activities including social, recreational, and community-based programming.
Support individuals in building independence, social skills, and daily living skills.
Implement individual service plans and support progress toward personal goals.
Ensure health, safety, and dignity of individuals during program hours, transportation, and community outings.
Provide personal care and administer medications as needed (training provided).
Promote inclusion and positive community engagement.
Utilize crisis prevention and intervention strategies to support individuals safely.
Complete required documentation including daily logs and incident reports.
Transport individuals and supervise activities in community settings.
