Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Day Program Professional to ensure individuals have engaging, person-centered experiences that promote independence, community integration and well-being.

The role involves implementing daily activity schedules, facilitating community outings, safeguarding health and safety, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to carry out goals from individual service plans, with travel to program locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass criminal background check and have a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.
• Approved to work within BSLS programs.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily activity schedules including community outings, events, and in-house programming.
• Ensure health and safety during program hours, transportation, and community activities.
• Provide personal care and support as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning and carry out goals from individual service plans.
• Attend staff meetings and complete required annual training.
• Travel to other program locations as needed.
