Overview

Do you want to work less hours but get full-time benefits? Do you want to leave the office and work outside helping adults with developmental disabilities? Join Community Connect and help participants become more independent members of the community! We’re a six-hour community-based day program that prioritizes both its clients and staff. We believe success is best achieved with compatible, well-trained teams. As a Job Coach/Program Specialist, you can empower individuals and help them achieve their person-centered goals regarding behavior and community integration.

Hours: 6 hours/day, 8:00 – 2:00 pm, every weekday (full-time benefits). Pay: $20 - $23/hr starting (depending on experience), PLUS $450-$650/mo tax-free mileage. This role is ideal for students, a second income, or work while kids are in school.

Requirements

• 18+ with valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and reliable transportation for three individuals.
• Background check included with any conditional job offer
• CPR and First Aid certification - can be completed after hiring. Mileage and time for training will be reimbursed
• Physical: Perform tasks alongside clients at all times. Supervise clients during their employment and volunteer assignments once per week – may include brief periods of bending and lifting light loads (under 10 lbs). Walking between one to two miles over a six-hour shift. Retrieve funds from recycling centers to working at pet adoption centers. Stay near clients throughout the day within the community. May entail standing for more than an hour at a time.

• Prioritize clients being part of a community - not observers
