Job summary

Community Connect seeks a dedicated Community Coach to support adults with developmental disabilities in Orange County. No experience required; you will teach life skills, assist with employment goals, build confidence, and foster meaningful community connections.

  • 18+ with a valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and reliable transportation for three individuals.
  • Background check required with any conditional job offer.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (can be completed after hiring); mileage and training time reimbursed.

Responsibilities

  • Model appropriate and positive social skills and behavior using various approaches and trainings.
  • Document and implement behavior modification and creativity while working on independent living skills in the community.
  • Work as a team to promote a positive, healthy environment to help achieve clients’ goals.
  • Prioritize clients being part of a community—not observers.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, community‑based position.

  • Walking 1–3 miles throughout the day
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Getting in and out of vehicles frequently

  • Accompanying participants throughout community activities

Why Community Connect?

Enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.). Full‑time benefits are available. Afternoons, evenings, and weekends are free. Paid training is provided. Mileage reimbursement is offered ($450–650/month). The team includes supportive leadership, fosters a small team culture, and offers you the chance to make a genuine impact every day.

Our Mission

Pay and Hours

Hourly rate: $20–$23/hr depending on experience, PLUS $450–$650/mo tax‑free mileage. Hours: 6 hrs/day, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., every weekday (full‑time benefits).

Requirements
  • 18+ with a valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and reliable transportation for three individuals.
  • Background check included with any conditional job offer.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (can be completed after hiring; mileage and training time reimbursed).
  • Physical: Perform tasks alongside clients at all times; supervise clients during their employment and volunteer assignments once per week; may include brief periods of bending and lifting light loads (under 10 lbs); walking 1–2 miles over a six‑hour shift; stay near clients throughout the day within the community; may involve standing for more than an hour at a time.
