About the role

Community Intersections is a non-profit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a Job Coach to support a small group of employees with disabilities at their janitorial work site M-F 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. (opportunity for more hours if desired). Duties
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the janitorial work site for employees with disabilities.
  • Create and maintain weekly schedules.
  • Inventory and order supplies.
  • Work with and alongside the employees by providing supervision and support at the job site and for the duration of the shift.
  • Support employees to develop connections/relationships at the job site.
  • Teach, support and encourage employees in the completion of work site duties according to their job description and their individualized service and support plan.
  • Assure the completion of all personnel documents required for human resources such as new hire documents and weekly timesheets for payroll.
  • Record hours worked and process timesheets for billing.
  • Create Individualized Service and Support Plans (ISSP) according to the employee’s Service Plan.
  • Create and review daily documentation such as contact notes, ISSP data, Incident Reports, Individual Assessments and other person specific reports or assessments required for the person to retain services for supportive employment.
  • Notify the Executive Director and/or your immediate supervisor of any problems or concerns regarding employees.
  • Attend all required trainings and department meetings to increase your knowledge of programs and people served/employees.
  • Provide transportation, coordinate transportation, or provide training of public transportation for employees to maintain employment.
  • Maintain communication between the employee, family members, and other supporting professionals.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency of the English language (oral and written)
  • Experience working with people with disabilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Reliable Vehicle to transport employees with disabilities
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Vehicle Insurance
  • Motor Vehicle Report
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., push/pull 200 lbs., bend, twist, stoop, etc.
  • Three references (at least two from previous employers).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

  • On-the-job training

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
