Job summary

Mgcci is seeking a Day Program Coach to support individuals with developmental disabilities at community sites and help develop independent living skills through coaching and facilitation of activities. You will engage participants in active treatment and document progress across sessions.

Required are an associate degree or higher in a related field, DSP certification, good communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred.
• A combination high school diploma/GED and at least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities will be considered.
• DSP certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license required

• Engage individuals in active treatment throughout programming hours.
• Advocate on behalf of all program participants, working to foster the individual’s independence and enhancing skills both inside and outside the workplace.
• Provide direct training delivery to individuals in areas including recreational pursuits and independent living skills.
• Maintain interdisciplinary communication and case notes for each individual.
