Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in West Covina, CA is hiring a Day Program Instructor Caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in building skills and daily routines. You will promote independence, assist with personal care, meals, and community activities, and document progress in IPP goals.

Preferred candidates have 1 year of relevant experience and may obtain CPI, DSP certificates, or First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (background check, etc.).
• Preferred: CPI certification and DSP Year 1/Year 2 certificates.
• Preferred: First Aid / CPR certification; training available within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Promote daily living, vocational and recreational skills.
• Follow IPP-based daily activity routines for each client.
• Assist with personal care and meals; support independence.
• Provide transportation in company vans as needed.
• Record client notes and review IPP goals; participate in meetings.
