Job summary

Amazinggoodwill is seeking a Day Program Specialist to assess, develop, and implement programming for participants, including job readiness and independent living skills. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to monitor progress and ensure quality service delivery.

You will maintain participant records, coordinate with families and funding sources, and support community engagement while following agency policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
• Demonstrated experience in human services or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, and implement programming for participants including job readiness, independent living, education, training needs, and support needs.
• Maintain accurate case file records in compliance with agency requirements and contract terms; monitor attendance and progress toward goals.
• Provide direct support with activities and services based on individual participant needs; develop person-centered Individual Plans.
• Attend and participate in interdisciplinary staffing and team meetings; build relationships with families and funding sources.
• Assist with development of community resources to improve communication, socialization, daily living skills, and community recreation.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained; complete annual van training and safety requirements.
• Participate in change management; contribute to department projects and ongoing skill development.
• Demonstrate problem solving with supervision; identify root causes and resolve issues.
• Demonstrate professional knowledge and adherence to established procedures; act as a goodwill ambassador in the community.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
