Job summary

New Hope Community in Loch Sheldrake, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional I for its Day Program. You will work alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build life skills, independence, and community participation in a daytime setting.

The DSP-I will provide person-centered supports, document progress, ensure safety, and collaborate with the team to promote dignity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or enrolled in DSP program.
• Valid NY Driver's License and acceptable driving record are required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and complete orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered supports and promote independence during daytime programming.
• Develop life skills, social relationships, and community participation.
• Complete daily service notes, progress notes, and electronic documentation.
• Maintain safety, CPR/First Aid, SCIP, and required certifications as needed.
