Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. is hiring part-time Program Aides in Butler, PA to support adults with special needs through daily activities and community outings. You will observe progress, maintain safety, and transport participants as needed, with Lifesteps providing training for CPI and First Aid/CPR.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering a stable day program within a community-focused nonprofit. Prior experience with disabilities is preferred and local travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel using an Agency vehicle.
• Ability to obtain CPI certification; Lifesteps provides training.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain within six months; Lifesteps provides training.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with special needs through daily activities such as crafts, outings, and life skills development.

The Program Aide supports adults with special needs through daily activities, including crafts, community outings, and life skills development.

This role includes observing and reporting participant progress, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and transporting participants in an Agency vehicle for community-based activities.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Ability to obtainand maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)certification; training providedby Lifesteps
• FirstAidand CPR certification,or ability to obtain and maintain within six months; training providedby Lifesteps

Preferred:

• One yearofexperience working with adults with disabilities or in a direct care position.
