Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. is hiring Day Program Aides to work at the Adult Training Facility in Butler, PA. The role is part-time, Monday through Friday with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

You will assist adults with activities such as basic life skills, community participation, transportation, and crafts, while observing progress and maintaining safety. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, CPI certification (provided by Lifesteps), and (within six months)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use an agency vehicle.
• CPI certification to be obtained through Lifesteps.
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with disabilities in activities and life skills.
• Support community participation, transportation, and vocational skills.
• Supervise participants, ensure a safe, clean environment, and document progress.

Day Program Aides - Part-time - Monday through Friday

NO EVENINGS, WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Have fun while you work and bring joy into the lives of program participants! The Day Program Aide is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as basic life skills, community participation, transportation, vocational skills, crafts and fun activities.

Staff observe and report on the accomplishments of the adult participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - provided by Lifesteps

Preferred:

• One year experience working with individuals with disabilities in the human services field, like direct care, home health aide, personal care attendant, TSS, etc.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Recreational Therapy, Health Education, Nutrition, or any other major

Work while family is in school.
