Job summary

Lifesteps is a long-standing non-profit in Western Pennsylvania seeking a Full-Time Day Program Instructor in the Beaver area. The role supports program activities under the Senior Supervisor/Instructor, observes client performance, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m. The position requires a HS diploma/GED, CPI certification, CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain within six months, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months of hire date.
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Day Program Instructor in the Beaver area.

Position Summary:

An entry level position responsible for assisting the Senior Supervisor/Coordinator/Instructor/Program Specialist in carrying out program activities, observing and reporting performance of clients in a variety of situations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

This full-time position works Monday through Friday 7:30 to 3:30 with weekends off!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months of hire date.
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle.

Preferred:

• One-year experience working with individuals in human services field.
• Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE).
• Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP).
• Associates Degree and six months to one-year experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
