Job summary

Lifesteps Inc. is seeking a Day Program Aide Substitute to support adults with disabilities at the Butler, PA Adult Training Facility.

This part-time role runs Monday through Friday with no evenings, weekends, or holidays, offering meaningful activities and community involvement. The Day Program Aide will help participants with life skills, crafts, transportation, and social participation, while ensuring safety and a clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel using an Agency vehicle.
• CPI certification and First aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with activities such as basic life skills, community participation, transportation, voca­tional skills, crafts and fun activities.
• Observe and report on the accomplishments of the adult participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Lifesteps is immediately hiring Day Program Aides to work at the Adult Training Facility in Butler, PA.

Day Program Aides - Part-time - Monday through Friday

NO EVENINGS, WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Have fun while you work and bring joy into the lives of program participants! The Day Program Aide is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as basic life skills, community participation, transportation, vocational skills, crafts and fun activities.

Staff observe and report on the accomplishments of the adult participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps
• First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - provided by Lifesteps

Preferred:

• One year experience working with individuals with disabilities in the human services field, like direct care, home health aide, personal care attendant, TSS, etc.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Recreational Therapy, Health Education, Nutrition, or any other major

Work while family is in school.
