Job summary

Lifesteps Inc. in Butler, PA is seeking a part-time Day Program Aide to support adults with special needs through daily activities, outings, and life skills development.

You will observe participant progress, maintain a safe and clean environment, and transport participants using an agency vehicle for community activities. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This is a rewarding role in a nonprofit serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver's license and ability to travel with agency vehicle.
• Ability to obtain CPI certification; Lifesteps provides training.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain within six months.
• Preferred: one year experience with adults with disabilities or in direct care.

Lifesteps is expanding services in Butler County and is hiring multiple part-time Program Aides in Butler, PA.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Aide supports adults with special needs through daily activities, including crafts, community outings, and life skills development.

This role includes observing and reporting participant progress, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and transporting participants in an Agency vehicle for community-based activities.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. OR 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Ability to obtain and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; training provided by Lifesteps
• First Aid and CPR certification , or ability to obtain and maintain within six months ; training provided by Lifesteps

Preferred

• One year of experience working with adults with disabilities or in a direct care position.
