Job summary

Lifesteps in Butler, PA is hiring multiple part-time Program Aides to support adults with disabilities through daily activities, including crafts, community outings, and life skills development.

Responsibilities include observing and reporting participant progress, maintaining a safe environment, and transporting participants in an Agency vehicle for community-based activities. Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current driver’s license with ability to travel using agency vehicle.
• Ability to obtain CPI certification; Lifesteps will provide training.
• First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within six months; Lifesteps provides training.
• Preferred: one year of experience working with adults with disabilities or in direct care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Ability to obtain and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; training provided by Lifesteps
• First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain and maintain within six months; training provided by Lifesteps

Preferred:

• One year of experience working with adults with disabilities or in a direct care position.
