Job summary

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a Weekend Day Porter to keep retail centers clean and welcoming. You will patrol sites, pick up trash, sweep and mop, clean restrooms, and report maintenance needs to your supervisor.

This role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and friendly customer service. Locations include multiple San Diego area properties with Saturday and Sunday shifts, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm on Saturdays and 7:00 am to 1:30 pm on Sundays, totaling 14 hours per week.

Qualifications

• English or Spanish communication, written and verbal.
• Comfortable using a mobile device for timekeeping and review.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently.
• Physically active and outdoors.
• Experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.

Schedule: Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm & Sunday 7:00 am - 1:30 pm (14 weekly hours)
Pay: $17.75 per hour, Paid Weekly

What You’ll Do

As a Day Porter, you’ll be the eyes and ears of the property, making sure everything looks its best:

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills
• Remove debris like stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness
• Report maintenance or repair needs to your supervisor
• Always use required safety equipment (we’ve got you covered!)

Requirements

? What We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you are:

• A strong communicator in English or Spanish – both written and verbal
• Familiar with using a mobile device (such as a cell phone or tablet) regularly for timekeeping and document review
• Enjoys providing friendly customer service
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently
• Physically active and enjoy being on your feet outdoors
• Experienced in janitorial, custodial, or porter work (preferred—but not required!)

Physical Requirements:

• On your feet throughout the shift
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Walking stairs and large properties regularly
