Job summary

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a Weekend Day Porter for the Santa Barbara location. The role focuses on keeping retail centers clean, welcoming, and safe, with weekend 6:00 am–2:30 pm shifts and weekly pay at $18 per hour.

You’ll perform cleaning duties, assist guests, and report maintenance needs while maintaining high standards of presentation on outdoor and common areas. This role offers opportunities for growth in a fast‑growing company and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to use a mobile device for timekeeping and document review.
• Customer service orientation and friendly demeanor.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented work habits.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor environments.
• Experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the shift.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris like stickers, gum, spills, graffiti.
• Walk the property to inspect cleanliness and safety.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment at all times.

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (16 hours)

Pay: $18.00 per hour, Paid Weekly

What You’ll Do

As a Day Porter, you’ll be the eyes and ears of the property, making sure everything looks its best:

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills
• Remove debris like stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness
• Report maintenance or repair needs to your supervisor
• Always use required safety equipment (we've got you covered!)

Requirements

? What We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you are:

• A strong communicator in English or Spanish – both written and verbal
• Familiar with using a mobile device (such as a cell phone or tablet) regularly for time keeping and document review
• Enjoys providing friendly customer service
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently
• Physically active and enjoy being on your feet outdoors
• Experienced in janitorial, custodial, or porter work (preferred - not required!)

Physical Requirements:

• On your feet throughout the shift
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Walking stairs and large properties regularly
