Job summary

CF Industries seeks an Upgrade Plant Day Supervisor / Trainer to lead day-to-day operations and author training programs. You will drive operator readiness, maintain training materials, and oversee outage planning, LOTO, and SOP updates.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of upgrade plant equipment, unit operations, procedures/SOCLs, operator responsibilities and KPIs.
• Working knowledge of DCS, SIS, alarms, interlocks, and plant process control systems.
• Strong leadership, planning, organization, prioritization, and change-leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving capability, including RCA, 5-Why, and cause-and-effect techniques.
• Detail oriented with a commitment to learning, developing new skills, and continuous process improvement.
• Strong computer skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office products, and PI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations training program and ensure consistent progression-cycle training.
• Document SOP/SOCL programs, LOTO forms, checklists, and training materials.
• Lead outage/turnaround planning, isolation, decontamination, startup, and LOTO activities.
• Identify and lead long-term improvement projects and support capital planning for the plant.
• Support routine MOC development and provide leadership during plant changes.
• Lead safety and environmental initiatives and reinforce safe operating practices.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication with Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, vendors.
