Job summary

CF Industries in the United States seeks a Plant Controller who will report to the Director, Plant and Cost Accounting within Corporate Controllers. This role partners with the Plant General Manager to provide timely financial oversight, analysis, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong internal controls over reporting.

The position leads month-end close, fixes assets oversight, budgeting, and audits, and coordinates with Maintenance and Engineering on projects to ensure accurate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
• 10+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing accounting; CPA/MBA and public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience at manufacturing plants with high complexity and multiple departments.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in Windows-based PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP accounting systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a key financial reporting resource to Corporate and local management.
• Leads and supervises professional accounting and clerical staff.
• Accounts for, manages, and reports on local capital and maintenance spending.
• Performs monthly inventory costing process.
• Reconciles inventory through local production reporting systems.
• Manages local plant Accounts Payable and analyzes monthly aging reports.
• Reviews monthly journal entries and month end analyses.
• Prepares exhibits and commentary for management, Directors and government agencies.
• Supports budgeting, forecasting updates and cost statements.
