Job summary

CF Industries seeks a Day Supervisor / Trainer to lead day-to-day operations and own operator training, documentation, and outage planning at the Upgrade Plant. You will work with Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and contractors to strengthen safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.

You will drive continuous improvement through hands-on training, SOP/SOCL governance, and change leadership to ensure operator readiness and high plant availability.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Upgrade plant equipment, unit operations, procedures/SOCLs, operator responsibilities, and KPIs.
• Working knowledge of DCS, SIS, alarms, interlocks, and plant process control systems.
• Strong leadership, planning, organization, prioritization, and change-leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• Strong troubleshooting and structured problem-solving capability, including RCA, 5-Why, and cause-and-effect techniques.
• Detail oriented with a strong commitment to learning, developing new skills, and continuously improving work processes.
• Strong computer skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office products, and PI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations training program and ensure consistent progression-cycle training.
• Document continuing education, evaluate operator readiness, administer tests, and participate in panel reviews.
• Manage and continuously improve SOP/SOCL programs, LOTO forms, checklists, guidelines, reading sheets, training materials, and other operations documentation.
• Lead operations planning for isolation, decontamination, shutdown, startup, LOTO, and other major outage activities; define execution plans.
• Identify, develop, organize, and lead long-term improvement projects and support capital/project planning for the UPG plant.
• Support routine MOC development and provide operations leadership during plant changes.
• Lead and support safety and environmental initiatives and reinforce safe operating practices for the plant.
• Facilitate effective communication within Operations and with Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, vendors and suppliers.

Job Summary

The Upgrade Plant Day Supervisor / Trainer provides day-to-day operations leadership while owning key elements of operator training, operations documentation, outage planning, problem solving, and continuous improvement. • Safety and environmental leadership: Lead and support safety and environmental initiatives and reinforce safe operating practices across the UPG plant.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Facilitate effective communication within Operations and with Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, vendors and suppliers.
