Job summary

PACS Group's Great Plains Post Acute is seeking a Day Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants on a day-to-day basis in accordance with applicable standards. You will lead shift activities, monitor resident status, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

The role requires an active nursing license (RN/LPN), strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with physicians and the care team to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree (RN/LPN) and active license in the state.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and coordinate care with other staff.
• Knowledge of current federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure accuracy of dosage and documentation.
• Complete charting and documentation of resident care and incident reports.
• Coordinate with physicians and other staff to plan and implement resident care plans.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and facility surveys.
• Ensure resident discharge plans are updated and communicated to the care team.
