Job summary

GREATPLAINS in Wichita, KS seeks an LPN/LVN Nursing Supervisor to lead day-to-day nursing services, supervise CNAs, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and maintain quality resident care.

The role requires a nursing degree, active license, CPR, English proficiency, and strong leadership. You will coordinate care plans, document, participate in surveys, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to read technical procedures.
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
• Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing.
• Must remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing at all times.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Lead shifts planning, staffing and service programs to meet resident needs.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual to reflect day-to-day nursing procedures.
• Complete accident/incident reports and forward to the Director as required.
• Chart nurses' notes and transcribe physician orders to resident charts and care plans.
• Review and coordinate care plans and collaborate with the Nurse Supervisor on MDS activities.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and facility surveys as required.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and infection control standards are followed throughout the unit.
