Opengate, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Certified Day Habilitation to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the day habilitation program site and in the community.

The role focuses on enabling self-directed living, assisting with ADLs, and guiding participation in recreational activities. The DSP will maintain safety, complete required reports and attend trainings, while driving Opengate vehicles as needed to transport clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver's license.
• One year's experience working with I/DD population is preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support at the day habilitation site and in the community.
• Assess needs and advocate to ensure services meet personal health and safety requirements.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation of services and supports.
• Complete Behavior & Medical Intervention Reports as required.
• Develop knowledge of behavior management programs.
