Opengate, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide compassionate, hands-on care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Mohegan Lake, Pleasantville, and Yorktown Heights in New York.

The role includes daily living assistance, medication support under RN supervision, crisis intervention as needed, and participation in treatment planning. Paid training and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience with I/DD population.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License in NY/NJ/CT.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and healthcare tasks.
• Advocate for individuals and participate in treatment planning.
• Learn and apply behavior management strategies and SCIP crisis protocols; apply physical interventions if necessary.
• Assist with daily living activities, household tasks, and recreational programs to support independence.
• Dispense medications under RN guidance and document habilitation services and medical charts.
