Job summary

Venture Community Services is seeking a Day Habilitation Floor Lead in Massachusetts to support individuals with developmental disabilities. The role involves implementing Day Habilitation Service Plan objectives, documenting progress, and stepping in for the Day Habilitation Supervisor when needed.

The position requires maintaining group ratios, supervising staff, and ensuring health and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site hourly role with opportunities to educate and assist

Qualifications

• Maintain First Aid, CPR, AED & Safety Care Certifications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on programmatic coverage, weekends, holidays, and program emergencies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain trainings specific to individual programmatic issues.
• Ability to plan and organize work and the activities of others.
• Actions should reflect judgment that would not jeopardize the health and safety of the individuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate group ratios (max 1:7 within a group area).
• Ensure staff is actively engaging participants by continuous supervision of multiple group areas.
• Ensure attendance collection upon arrival to the program and all transitions between sessions.
• Ensure incident reports are completed and submitted to Program Director.
• Ensure all clients are being appropriately assisted in personal hygiene tasks according to level of need.
• Maintain the day program in a clean and orderly fashion. Assign cleaning tasks. Ensure completion by staff.
• Ensure DHSP objectives are being worked towards daily and documented.
• Train staff on specific DHSP/ISP goals and objectives.
• Ensure individuals are spoken to in a respectful manner at all times.
