Job Summary

Employees in this position perform work in the day-to-day operation of a day camp program.

Examples of work performed: works directly with participants in program, supervising them in a wide range of recreational activities including crafts, swimming, field trips, games, and other appropriate programs; insures that the site is clean and safe and that all equipment is inspected and ready for use; assists day camp manager in preparing daily and weekly recreational activities, works closely with manager and parents to insure program runs smoothly; monitors public use of recreation facility; performs other duties as required.

Required Minimum Qualifications

A high school education or equivalent and a valid TN driver's license are required. Must have experience with recreational programming and working with children of all ages.

Working Conditions

Physical: Job requires occasional light lifting and loading and will require someone with good physical coordination.

Environmental: Work is performed in an indoor/outdoor setting providing children with various recreational activities utilizing recreational equipment. Must be able to work in excessive heat and humidity.
