Job summary

The Michaels in Columbia, SC is seeking a friendly retail team member to help customers, locate products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience. You will participate in truck unloading, stocking, planograms, and store recovery to keep the floor well merchandised and in stock, while educating customers on Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting, and flexibility with nights, weekends and early mornings; 16+ years of age minimum and

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain store recovery, merchandise return/go back process, and in-stock conditions
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; model positive behavior and professionalism
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
