Job summary

Workday is seeking a DataOps Engineer to own end-to-end delivery and uptime for the ED&A infrastructure, aligning complex technical requirements with business outcomes and building cloud-native automation to scale data workloads.

You will lead engineering squads through sprints, design AI-augmented workflows, and implement robust observability, CI/CD, and data governance across Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, and related tools in a multinational SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Development Operations or Data Engineering with a focus on cloud-native automation.
• Proficient in managing complex workstreams using GitHub, Jira, and Smartsheet.
• Proven track record of delivering technical projects in a multinational SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery and uptime of ED&A infrastructure projects.
• Drive alignment between technical requirements and business outcomes.
• Lead engineering squads through complex sprints and manage pipeline release cadences.
• Design and refine AI-augmented workflows to boost system quality and throughput.
• Operationalize DataOps validation frameworks across CI pipelines to yield certified datasets for enterprise AI readiness.
• Embed automated AI-augmented validation workflows and code refactoring templates to maximize team capacity.
