Job summary

Compass Mining is seeking a Datacenter Technician in Iowa to join the Operations team, ensuring 24x7 operation and security of critical infrastructure including routine and preventive maintenance. You will work with the Site Lead to maintain 40,000+ assets, facilities, and hosting partners, ensuring everything is safe and functional.

The role involves day-to-day facility operations and collaboration with onsite teams.

Qualifications

Technical degree in information technology or equivalent certifications and job experience.
1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment.
Comfortable working with a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment.
Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, security, and fire protection are preferred.
Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance is desired but can be acquired.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on facilities and hardware.
Monitor hardware.
Complete day to day tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Respond to and remediate equipment faults identified by customers or internal monitoring systems.
Assist in the customer onboarding process by installing servers.
Travel to mining facilities for site inspections.
Maintain logs for service and maintenance on deployed assets.
