Job summary

Compass Mining is seeking a Datacenter Technician to join the Facility Operations team and ensure 24x7 continuous operation and security of critical infrastructure, including preventive maintenance.

You will work with Site Leads to manage 40,000+ assets, facilities, and hosting partners to keep everything safe and functional, performing day-to-day tasks with onsite teams and overseeing facility operations.

Qualifications

• A technical degree in information technology or equivalent certifications and job experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment.
• Comfortable working with a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, security, and fire protection are preferred.
• Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance is desired but can be acquired.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on facilities and hardware.
• Monitor hardware.
• Complete day to day tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Respond to and remediate equipment faults identified by customers or internal monitoring systems.
• Assist in the customer onboarding process by installing servers.
• Travel to mining facilities for site inspections.
• Maintain logs for service and maintenance on deployed assets.
