Job summary

Compass Mining is seeking a Datacenter Technician to support the Facility Operations team in ensuring 24x7 operation and security of critical infrastructure. You will work with onsite teams to maintain Compass's assets across hosting facilities and perform routine maintenance on facilities and hardware.

The role involves monitoring hardware, responding to faults, installing servers for onboarding, and traveling to mining facilities for site inspections, all while maintaining maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• Technical IT degree or equivalent certifications and job experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment.
• Comfortable working with a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, security, and fire protection are preferred.
• Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance is desired but can be acquired.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on facilities and hardware.
• Monitor hardware.
• Complete day to day tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Respond to and remediate equipment faults identified by customers or internal monitoring systems.
• Assist in the customer onboarding process by installing servers.
• Travel to mining facilities for site inspections.
• Maintain logs for service and maintenance on deployed assets.
