Job summary

Pomeroy is seeking an IT Infrastructure professional to support data center operations and enterprise service management. The role focuses on rack and stack execution, server hardware troubleshooting, and maintaining rigorous documentation and asset control.

Ideal candidates will have experience with data center infrastructure, including cooling, power, UPS, PDUs, and a background in change and service request management, root cause analysis, and coordinating on-site vendor activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT equipment rack and stack.
• Experience with server hardware troubleshooting and component replacement.
• Proficiency in structured cabling and documentation.
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure including cooling, power, UPS, and PDUs.
• Familiarity with enterprise service management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead change management activities and coordinate planning and execution.
• Handle service requests and perform technical problem analysis and solutioning.
• Drive local initiatives and projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis and ensure quality assurance.
• Coordinate vendors for on-site activities and site security audits.

Job description

• Experienced in IT equipment rack and stack
• Skilled in server and blade hardware troubleshooting
• Performs component replacement for servers and related hardware
• Proficient in structured cabling
• Writes and maintains infrastructure technical documentation
• Develops and maintains operational and procedural manuals
• Manages asset inventory
• Oversees procurement management, including logistics, goods receipt, and vendor management

Knowledgeable in Data Center technologies, including:

• Cooling systems
• Power infrastructure
• UPS systems
• Distribution boards
• PDUs (Power Distribution Units)
• Fire detection and suppression systems
• Data center safety and health standards
• CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or higher certification preferred

General knowledge of:

• Servers and blade systems
• Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI)
• Cloud technologies
• Backup solutions
• Storage technologies
• Network technologies

Experience in enterprise service management processes, including:
