Job summary

Excis is hiring a Datacenter Network Engineer L2/L3 in Miami to install, maintain, and optimize data center infrastructure for a major cruise line client. Travel up to 25% may be required as projects span multiple locations. The role emphasizes high availability, rigorous documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a technical field and 3+ years in data center operations, with CCNA preferred and strong cabling and asset management skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in Data Center Engineering and Operations.
• CCNA certification preferred.
• Structured cabling (copper and fiber) experience.
• Low-voltage infrastructure and asset management experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support data center hardware and infrastructure to ensure high availability.
• Install and document structured cabling (copper and fiber), including labeling and testing.
• Perform cabling, patching, rack elevations, and cable management; validate connectivity.
• Coordinate fiber installation with internal teams and vendors.
• Monitor environmental conditions and ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Assist in planning data center projects, hardware refreshes, migrations, and expansions.
• MACs for servers, storage, network equipment, and infrastructure.
• Maintain rack layouts, cable maps, and asset inventory.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support objectives.
• Safely perform physical work in data center environments.
