Zusammenfassung

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Datacenter Engineer to install, maintain, and document data center hardware and structured cabling at Coral Gables, FL. You’ll support day‑to‑day operations, hardware deployments, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades, while ensuring accurate documentation and asset management.

The role requires hands‑on data center experience, strong cable management, and coordination with internal teams and vendors. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of data center engineering and operations experience.
• Experience with copper/fiber cabling and rack management.
• Knowledge of network cabling standards and basic network protocols.

Aufgaben

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document data center hardware and infrastructure.
• Install and maintain structured cabling (Cat5e–Cat6A, fiber).
• Perform patching, cross-connects, routing, and connectivity validation.
• Support network, compute, and storage connectivity in data centers.
• Coordinate fiber installation, testing, and vendor coordination.
• Manage environmental monitoring, access control, surveillance and other low‑voltage infra.
• Monitor temperatures, humidity, power, and cooling performance.
• Contribute to MACs for servers, storage, network gear, and infrastructure.
• Maintain rack layouts, cable maps, fiber paths, patch panels, and asset inventories.
• Collaborate with networks, systems, security, facilities and vendors; travel as needed.
