Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Datacenter Engineer to join our Coral Gables, FL team. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and supporting data center hardware, structured cabling, and low-voltage systems across data center environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with copper/fiber cabling, rack/cable management, hardware lifecycle activities, and infrastructure documentation, with travel up to 25% for domestic and international projects.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure and operations.
  • Experience with copper and fiber cabling and patching.
  • Ability to document rack layouts, cabling maps, and asset inventories.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document data center hardware and infrastructure.
  • Install and maintain structured cabling (Cat5e/6/6A and fiber).
  • Perform network cabling, patching, cross-connects, routing, and validation.
  • Support network, compute, and storage connectivity in data centers.
  • Coordinate fiber installation, splicing, testing, and termination with teams and vendors.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Support data center projects including deployments, upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
  • MACs for servers, storage, and network equipment; maintain records and documentation.
