Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center experience and 4+ years of IT experience required.
• Understanding of network procedures and safety management in a DC environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical hardware swaps and optical transceiver swaps.
• Troubleshoot remote links and mentor L1 resources.
• Manage assets and build relationships with partner teams.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Physical layer: fiber optic connections, contamination, cleaning
2. Understand ESD best practices
3. Comfortable with text based CLI
4. Familiar with IP based networking
5. A+/Network+ level of knowledge required
6. Good understanding of OSI layer and network principles
7. 2+ years of DC experience required
8. 4+ years of IT related experience required
9. Familiarity with Linux based systems and experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl)
10. Understanding BGP routing protocols, spanning tree, VRRP, LACP
11. Nvidia IB understanding is a nice to have skill
12. Good organization, multitasking and communication skills
13. Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Outlook, Excel
14. Understanding of network procedures, environmental and safety management in a DC environment

Responsibilities:

1. Physical hardware swaps: (Fabric and Backbone)
2. Optical transceiver swaps / Circuit diagnosis
3. Line card swap
4. TOR Replacement
5. Work with vendors for RMA's
6. Must be able to lift 50lbs
7. Asset Management
8. Tools and Ticket management
9. Build relationships with partner teams within the DC
10. Ability to review hardware logs, isolate and identify root cause
11. Remote link troubleshooting
12. Ability to mentor and guide L1 resources

Key Skills:
