Job summary

VanguardMaintenance&Electrical is seeking experienced EE98J Journeyman Low Voltage Technicians to support a large-scale mission-critical datacenter project in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. This full-time role covers installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of structured cabling and low voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Valid New Mexico Journeyman License.
• Minimum four years of low voltage installation experience.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience installing and terminating structured cabling systems.
• Experience with low voltage testing and troubleshooting.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Perform structured cabling installations including copper and fiber optic systems.
• Install cable tray, conduit, pathways, racks, cabinets, and support infrastructure.
• Perform cable labeling, testing, certification, and documentation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-line drawings, and technical specifications.
• Support installation of security, access control, communication, and related low voltage systems.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and assist with corrective actions.
• Support commissioning activities and final system turnover.
• Coordinate activities with supervision, project management, customers, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
