Job summary

EOS IT Solutions in the United States is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our infrastructure engineering team. You will install, service, and maintain low voltage cabling in data centers, focusing on rack and stack tasks and ensuring reliable physical connectivity.

The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards, familiarity with BICSI/ANSI/EIA/TIA, and the ability to read port maps, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with teammates on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in a technology services/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience installing, servicing, and maintaining low voltage cabling infrastructure.
• Ability to install, terminate, and test low voltage cables.
• Familiarity with BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, and NEC/National Electric Code.
• Certifications such as BICSI TECH or Corning TS-LAN500 preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid drivers license and ability to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain low voltage cabling.
• Rack and stack equipment, pull cables, and manage cables.
• Clean fiber and copper connections; basic troubleshooting.
• Follow MOP/CMOP guidelines.
• Operate work ticket systems and read port maps.
• Coordinate with team to complete work orders.
• Respond to emergencies; meet SLAs.
• Document work in required formats.
