Job summary

Applied Digital is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee datacenter construction projects from planning through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment. This role requires leadership and deep knowledge of datacenter build processes.

You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, manage risk, safety, and compliance, and travel to sites as needed. Strong organizational, communication, and PM software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically in Mission-Critical datacenter builds.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes for datacenter construction.
• Ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Familiarity with EH&S regulations in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Participate in site assessments and risk assessments to inform planning.
• Identify and engage subcontractors and vendors for specialized tasks.
• Oversee all aspects of construction project ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure progress.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress and address issues; travel involved.
• Manage project documentation, change orders, and communications to ensure timely information flow.
• Develop and manage budgets, tracking expenditures and providing cost forecasts and cost-to-completion analyses.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Create and maintain project schedules with critical path activities and milestones.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions and optimize sequencing.
• Lead project teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• Conduct regular project meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
