Job summary

WeldFit, a Houston-based manufacturer serving pipeline and petrochemical industries, is seeking a Document Control Specialist to manage databooks and ensure ISO 9001 compliance. The role focuses on organizing data, certificates, inspection reports, and project documentation across products and projects.

You will work primarily in an office setting with occasional plant visits, coordinate with engineering, quality, procurement, and production, and support audits and regulatory inquiries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of document control, databook management, or quality assurance in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Experience creating and maintaining databooks and managing ISO 9001 documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP and document control platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Compile and organize databooks for manufacturing projects with specifications, test reports, and certificates.
• Maintain version control and ensure all documents meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA, and production to gather required docs.
• Assist ISO 9001 audits by providing access to relevant documentation.
• Track document submissions and ensure timely databook delivery to clients.
