The role involves leading on-call rotations, coordinating incident triage, and ensuring data security and disaster recovery readiness across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 8 years of job related experience required.
• Databases: PostgreSQL / CockroachDB with replication and HA concepts.
• Automation: Python and Shell Scripting for maintenance tasks.
• Platform: Linux/Unix; Cloud: AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize team tasks, track tickets, and ensure SLAs.
• Provide escalation point for incidents and coordinate triage.
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL / CockroachDB clusters and replication.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and data models for performance goals.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline maintenance and monitoring.
• Oversee backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure security controls and access management are enforced.
• Coordinate on-call rotations and off-hours support during releases.
