Job Description:

Location: REMOTE

Type: Long Term Contract

Apex Systems, a global leader in IT solutions, is seeking a Database Engineer with expertise in SQL and Oracle databases, SQL development, and a background in .NET web applications. Responsibilities include database development, performance tuning, design, analysis, and data architecture. Experience with ETL processes, PowerBI, and database administration for large data sets is required. Prior experience in highly regulated environments with PII data is preferred.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software, including mainframe and client/server applications, and enhance existing systems.
• Proficient in MS SQL and Oracle database development.
• Experienced in data modeling, analysis, tuning, design, and architecture functions.
• Collaborate with teams to identify and implement database requirements for applications.
• Optimize database performance by tuning queries, standardizing practices, and adjusting indexes/resources.
• Support users and developers by resolving data-related issues and troubleshooting queries.
• Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Exposure to .NET applications and development in C# and/or ASP.NET.
• Expertise in ETL and BI tools, specifically SSIS, Informatica, and PowerBI.
