Job summary

Airbyte, Inc. is seeking a Customer Support Developer (Databases) to blend software skills with customer empathy. You will write Java/Kotlin, contribute to database connectors, and help customers move data between databases, warehouses, and lakes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering or related role supporting developers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for database issues, via email, ticketing, or video calls.
• Triage and prioritize incoming issues, meeting SLA targets and using AI tools to resolve faster.
• Dig into complex issues across relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes, partnering with Engineering for fixes.
• Reproduce customer-reported bugs by inspecting logs, query plans, replication slots, and transaction logs, documenting findings for Engineering.
• Assist customers through onboarding and troubleshooting for SSH tunnels, network configs, and CDC setup.
