Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Database Administrator to support a large, complex program in our Intel Sector with a focus on security engineering and compliance. The role involves assessing vulnerabilities, implementing STIGs across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB, and supporting RMF/ATO packages while collaborating with ISSOs to ensure robust security postures.

Qualified candidates bring 8+ years of DBA experience, strong Oracle DB expertise, and hands-on experience with RDBMS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and at least eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Must have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator.
Must have at least 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
In-depth experience implementing and maintaining database security controls.
In-depth experience applying Oracle CPU patches, IAVA patches, and other database products.
In-depth experience with Linux security as it relates to Oracle databases.
In-depth experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems and issues.
Must have hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.
Must have experience with procedural languages such as PL/SQL.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain DISA STIGs for platforms Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra and/or MONGO DB.
Perform vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and remediate security weaknesses.
Support RMF processes and contribute to Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
Conduct routine security readiness reviews and document POA&M items.
Collaborate with ISSOs to validate and report compliance.
Review database SRG and/or STIGs as updates are released, and report changes with significant impact.
Determine the impact and risk of change requests prior to implementation and provide cyber oversight for web changes.
Perform system updates and IAVA patching.
Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
Perform database recovery actions.
Modify existing database scripts and create new scripts for recurring issues.
Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests.
