Job description

Job Title : Database Administrator III - IN

Job Responsibilities :

1. SQL Server Administration:
   • Maintain logs, truncate database logs, trim SQL backups, tune queries, etc.
   • Configure and monitor automation tasks such as backups, rebuilds, reorganization of indexes, stats jobs, clearing history, and integrity checks.
   • Manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) by reviewing synchronization and the Always On Availability Groups (AG) dashboard for health.
   • Implement a secure environment by managing user access, Active Directory domains, and groups.
   • Review Data Platform resources including CPU, Memory, and Storage usage; analyze performance bottlenecks.
   • Migrate databases from earlier SQL Server versions to the current version.
   • Create new databases and run commands/scripts in SQL.
   • Install and configure SQL Server agents on various database servers.
   • Plan storage space requirements and optimize I/O performance.
   • Tune databases by creating efficient stored procedures and T-SQL statements.
   • Design, develop, and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
   • Perform database backup and restoration, troubleshoot, and resolve user issues.
   • Develop monitoring and DBA tool scripts for daily tasks.
   • Create and modify stored procedures, functions, views, and tables for data extraction, transformation, loading, and reporting.
   • Assist in troubleshooting connectivity issues.
   • Perform other DBA activities such as space management and performance monitoring.
2. Certifications: MS SQL Server Administrator (DP-300 Certification within 12 months)
