Job Description

At Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), a core division of Fanatics' mission to establish the ultimate end-to-end digital sports platform, we're crafting a world where every aspect of a sports fan's passion is catered to. As an Engineer III in our OddsFactory team, you will take on a role of responsibility and influence, leading efforts to address complex challenges within our risk and trading domain. Your work is vital not only to supporting FBG's operations but also to driving innovation that supports Fanatics' vision of transforming sports fan engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high-performance solutions within our event-driven architecture, focusing on scalability, security, and availability, while addressing complex system challenges to improve performance and reliability.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems within multifaceted systems to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop efficient, modular, and testable code that sets standards for quality and innovation.
• Own your product lifecycle from development and deployment to proactive monitoring and maintenance post-launch.
• Collaborate with Product, Quants, and Engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of stable and reliable applications aligned with our vision.
• Apply diverse design methodologies to effectively solve technical challenges.
• Work with stakeholders to translate customer requirements into impactful features that meet needs and team goals.
• Excel in .NET technologies, promote best practices, and foster a culture of excellence.
• Mentor team members through knowledge sharing and support professional growth and continuous improvement.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical operations.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for events and offsite meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and deploying scalable, high-performance applications.
• Strong expertise in C#, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication skills capable of explaining complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute and improve.
• Solid understanding of software design, development, and testing principles including SOLID, DRY, TDD, BDD.
• Passion for software engineering and a desire to innovate and share knowledge within a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest or experience in sports betting.
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Start-up environment experience is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for working collaboratively.

This is a remote position, requiring residence in specific states or a hybrid role in Denver, CO. Visa sponsorship is not available.
