Job description

Position: Database Administrator III (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator III with expertise in various database systems and tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Oracle, SQL Server, and related technologies, with a focus on supporting application development teams and ensuring optimal database performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
2. Collaborate with developers and project teams to analyze requirements, model data structures, and create efficient database schemas.
3. Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and updates.
4. Implement and manage database security, roles, privileges, and schema objects.
5. Perform database tuning, maintenance, and monitoring using various tools.
6. Support Oracle databases for Java applications and utilize PowerBI for reporting and analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with SQL database support and services.
• Proficiency with Oracle (including 19c), SQL Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and related tools like SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
• Experience with database security, schema management, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, SQL tuning, and data dictionary views.
• Experience supporting Oracle databases for Java applications.
• Certification as a MS SQL DBA is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with Redgate comparison tools, database monitoring tools, and logical database design.
• Additional skills in PowerBI and supporting legacy and current SQL versions are advantageous.
